One of the most common questions we receive from soon-to-be pool owners is, How long will it take to build my pool?”
Much like the question, How much does a pool cost? its not easy to answer in a straight-forward manner. Since each of our swimming pools are unique (just like each of our amazing customers), the best we can do is give you a general idea of when your pool will be completed.
We typically tell our customers that it will take approximately 6-8 weeks to build their pool. This time frame does not necessarily include the time it will take for everything to be completed pre-construction (like the permits, HOA approvals, and financing), so if youre trying to have your pool swim-ready for a particular event, we suggest you start the buying and building process early. For more information on when you should buy a pool, read our previous blog: When is the best time to buy a pool?Keep in mind, your pool is unique and may take a longer (or shorter) time to build than your neighbors pool may have.
The length of time it takes to build a pool is also affected by weather conditions. For example, when it rains, we lose 2-3 days of work because the ground stays wet. Also, our crews cannot work in freezing temperatures.
Also keep in mind that many people decide to build a pool in the Spring and Summer months, so because of the demand, you may have a delayed start time.
