CAREER OPPORTUNITY PROFILE

Keith Zars Pools, Ltd., the “Best-in-Class” residential and commercial pool builder in Texas, is currently seeking a VP, Sales & Marketing for our San Antonio, TX home office.

The VP, Sales & Marketing will oversee all aspects of the Company’s go-to-market strategy and executionleading the residential pool sales team and oversees the marketing efforts throughout the Company.  You will responsible for defining, implementing and executing both short and long term residential pool sales growth programs. You will work directly with the President & COO and current in-house and outsourced marketing teams to lead our online digital presence, print and customer acquisition programs. You will be responsible for driving the direct business-to-customer residential pool sales and for our organization, Companywide marketing initiatives and overseeing of our residential pool sales support team. To be successful, you will already have experience managing a fully commissioned or commission salary sales team as well as experience driving consistent sales revenue and growth. You will have also had experience building and running personalized marketing campaigns to support Companywide sales efforts. Experience in the construction industry is a plus.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Launch new markets, creating and growing our customer base as new locations open.
  • Create, maintain, and report on the monthly/quarterly/annual sales, surveys and marketing forecasting.
  • Develop and inspire sales and marketing team members goals for Dept. and individual contributors.
  • Plan and direct sales team training and development
  • Determine trade shows and industry events that promote our brand and grow our sales.
  • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate other department support staff.
  • Establish, plan and control budgets and activities for sales promotion, advertising, marketing and trade show expenses.
  • Collaborate with other department managers as necessary to promote coordinated transitions from sales to production.
  • Oversee the operation of the design center and its designers.
  • Set strategy and manage social media presence and lead generation.
  • Manage and coordinate landscape architect plan production.

Creating and Owning the Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy

  • Set clear objectives and goals, research and define target audiences, develop marketing and communication strategies, and measure Google Analytics.
  • You will conduct customer research and apply insights to these and other initiatives.

Driving the Evolution of our Brand Positioning

  • Establish brand positioning in a clear and consistent way that resonates with and motivates our target audience.
  • Promote the company as an industry innovator to the press and public.
  • Oversee outbound customer-facing communications across our social channels and digital presence in addition to physical content and collateral for our location(s).
  • Represent and provide timely metrics and survey data as the voice of the customer (current and future).

Collaborating and Leading Across the Organization

  • Share insights to cross-functional stakeholders throughout the company.
  • Lead and mentor a growing team of sales contributors and marketing ambassadors.
  • Collaborate and work closely with our construction team.
  • Manage and coordinate our landscape architect planning and production

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university and ten (10) years related leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and construction industry experience.
Must be proficient in computer products used for analysis and communication.

LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Demonstrate in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles. Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal and external customers. Candidate must communicate effectively, up and down, throughout the organization and across all departments and functions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain a valid driver license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, steel toe work boots, and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.There will be a minimum of 25% travel throughout the area.
